Copyright

It occurred to me earlier today that I have no acknowledgment or clarification of anything related to copyright on this entire site, so here it is (this entry will be archived and therefore should be available for any searches).

All content on this site authored by John Fitzgerald is owned by the public domain and may be reproduced and edited in any way without exception. All content not authored by John Fitzgerald can be safely assumed to by copywritten by its respective original creator. Any reproduction or alteration to such content (including its use on this site in the first place) is likely to happen without the express consent of the copyright holder, and somebody eventually may get all bent out of shape about it.

If you hold the copyright for any content on this site (this site being anything contained in the http://www.sonic.net/jdf/ hierarchy) or legally represent the copyright holder, and would like you have your content removed from this site, it will be removed upon request. No DMCA or other claims will be required. A simple request will do.

As of this writing, the “intellectual property” of Squaresoft, Sony, TokyoPop, AD Visions, TokyoTV, and Wizards of The Coast have all been used on this site. No permission to use these works has been given either implicitly nor explicitly. Many of the images on this site have been of the gif89a format, which is the property of Compuserve. As of this writing, no requests from the owners of these “intellectual properties” has requested the removal of their content.

It is my opinion that the presence of this unlicensed content qualifies as “fair use” as there is no monetary gain on my part, and no harm to the property holders or their properties.

If you would really like to cause a ruckus, please feel free to file a DMCA claim with the hosting ISP, Sonic.net, Inc. Instructions for doing so can be found at the following address:

Have a nice day.

The word “Copyright” is associated with Godzilla, and therefore, I must ask that you remove all references to the word “Copyright” so that the Godzilla trademark is not mistaken for http://burrowowl.net.

Thank you, have a nice day.
