Touch-ups

Wednesday, August 28th, 2002

There’s been some minor tinkering. I’m working on a method to more faithfully base a color scheme for the whole site off of the background image. In doing so, I’ve made the site a little more friendly to non-compliant browsers (the page title and individual entry titles are now in Header tags though this should not affect its proper presentation). Anybody loading this with a Palm Pilot or a decrepit browser should have a more welcome experience now.

As my css file now weighs in at almost 5k, I’m going to start paring away at the older cruft (there are some entire classes specified there that simply shouldn’t be) in the interest of efficiency. Similarly, I’ll be cleaning up the Moveable Type templates to not include the generation of code for which I’ve written “display: none” styles for. I’m comfortable with the amount of info being displayed at this time. I’ve also linked in my miscellaneous links page in the main index here.

Milestone in Progress

I’ve got two more wins as a human to go before my little “orc peon” status goes away on battle.net, or so I am told.

With the spanking I received at the hands of a lvl12 Night Elf with his bevy of Huntresses though, I’m confident that the burrowowl is not yet ready for prime time.
