While on the subject of player-killing and its uses, some recommended reading:
From time to time a DM (or GM or Keeper or whatever yer game calls it) has issues keeping the game moving forward, or finds that the behavior of one or more of the players is detracting from everybody’s enjoyment.
LUYPS is a whole book about maintaining game enjoyability, with specific foils for specific types of troublesome behavior.
The Paranoia core rulebook starts its Game Master section with some very strong, generally applicable bits of advice for any DM. “Information is valuable, dole it out with miserly reluctance,” “Keep the action moving,” “Don’t give them time to think,” and “Kill the bastards” being some favorites. Of course, Paranoia has a built in six-life system to keep a player around for at least a couple hours, so hey.
Where can you find the book on Paranoia?
The creators of Paranoia are West End Games, http://www.westendgames.com/ but I think they’d discontinued it. Sorry. You may be able to pick up a second-hand copy somewhere. If you like RPGs, it is a very good read.
